Kepler 452b

What is an extrasolar planet? A planet that orbits a star other than the Sun. Nowadays, they are called Exoplanets, and until now (Dec/2021), there are 4569 of them) confirmed and not confirmed).

Kepler is sometimes quoted to be an Earth 2.0 or Earth’s Cousin. Why? The character is also known as Kepler Object of Interest designation KOI-7016.01. Well, there is a 16 there, which is my lucky number! 452b Is a super-Earth exoplanet orbiting whiting the inner edge of the habitable zone (could someone or something live there?) of the Sun-like star Kepler 452. Never understood why to give a number to those planets, one asked. Simple. There are so many that creativity, to name them all, would be a nightmare. The planet is 1402 light-years from Earth in the constellation of Cygnus. We can’t go there now; at the speed of the New Horizon, spacecraft would take 30 million years to reach the planet. I guess I will be told them.

My fascination for astronomy came from my husband and son. Both are avid consumers of any literature, gadget or magazines having the universe as a theme. Dr Helen, Noah and more than three hundred people came to help me. I learned slowly, but now; I am ready to say something about it. Let’s see where the Ship will take us or where we will end inside ourselves.
